AizawlAizawl is a beautiful city, known as "the home of the highlanders". Located north of the Tropic of Cancer in the northern part of Mizoram. It is the capital of Mizoram, and is the largest city in the entire state.
Aizawl has many beautiful spots, to entertain its tourist. Some of them are The Museum at Macdonal's Hill, The mini Zoological Garden, Bethlehem Vengthlang, Durtlang Hills-picturesque Hills for viewing Aizwal, K.V.l. Handloom & Handicraft Sales Emporium, Zarkawt, Zonusang Haridloom show room, Zarkawt, Mahco Show Room Treasury, Square Bung Picnic Spot.

Aizawl always witness a moderate climate, in summer the temperature ranges from 20-30 degrees Celsius, and in the winter 11-21 degrees Celsius.

Chapchar Kut is the main festival in Aizawl, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm during the month of March, some other important festivals of Aizawl are Mim Kut, Pawl Kut, Thalfavang Kut, etc.

With some famous universities like Mizoram University, Central Agricultural University, Chartered Financial Analysts of India University ( ICFAI ), and many other famous schools and colleges, Aizawl is not behind in rendering excellent quality education to its student.

Among the city's many other institutions of higher learning are the Aizawl Theological College, Aizawl Govt. College, Golden Republic Information Technology Centre, Mizoram Engineering College Government Champhai College, etc.
